The email was not sent to the group; just me. She wants to discuss,"Informational things." I have thought of every possiblity, except the correct one, probably.

Story of my life. I take things personally and assume when her door is closed, like it is now, they are talking about me, and it's negative. I have little evidence to that end, just fear. My fear hardly ever turns out to be true but it doesn't stop me from being paranoid next time.

Yeah, I do think the worst. Even when my boss calls me into his office and close the door, I get worried. But it has always been good news...a new project or a bonus or something. It's kind of like how you may never break the law or do anything wrong, but still panic when a police car is behind you. Try not to overworry about it...nothing you can do about it except wait for the meeting. I'm sure it will be fine. In fact, I would be willing to bet this meeting will be good news for you! :)

I would not think the worse. Maybe she is giving you new responsibilities and would like to discuss them with you. Just relax and good luck.

I don't know. I'd be racking my brain if there was no other information in the email. I'd be 'war-gaming' it in my head, trying to figure what she wanted to talk about and what I was going to say. Good luck!!!

It depends on the manager. If they are a tyrant, it would give me chills.

If I knew I was doing my job well, I would go in with confidence and think the best! -- good luck and don't worry, it will only make it weird.

YES, I do. My therapist tells me it's a way to prepare yourself emotionally for bad things, except that not every thing is a bad thing, of course.

"Informational things" doesn't sound too bad to me, though. (I'm in HR.) Best of luck to you!

Please don't think the worse. Sometimes getting called into the office by your boss means a new position or more money in you check book.
