Hands down for me, out of a Mills and Boon, is "Their eyes met as she reached for the roast." (!!!) If you read one of these out loud they are hysterically funny, BTW.

My school recently did a preformance of "Pure as the Driven Snow", in which one of the lines was: "If my comments were as sweet as your face, I'd put them on the market & break up the sugar trade."

I can safely say I've never read Mills and Boon or the like. Maybe I'm missing out - or maybe not!

My answer is; in that awful book The Other Woman's Shoes, "At the risk of sounding lame, you are, um, the one for me."
