running across a street with a bunch a cars going. and almost got ran over

As a truck driver, I used to have to do a lot of "Overtime". Sure, it's illegal, but it's the only way to make a living.
One day I started out in Detroit at the auto auction. Loaded 7 cars, drove to chicago and dumped them off. Drove to Peoria and picked up 7 more and took them to St Louis Mo. From there, I unloaded, picked up 7 more somewhere else in St. Louis and took them up to Chicago. Dropped those off, picked up 5 more and took them to Cincinatti, dropped off, and drove back empty to Detroit.
All in all, it was 38 hours of driving and loading/unloading. Very dangerous, and very unhealthy, but I made close to $2000.00 for that day and a half.

Marrying someone who was my first love- who left and came back after six years... giving up everything... and leaving family and friends after marrying him. We are still married... we went through lots of trials and tribulations... but we are still together, going towards our 12th year of marriage. I remember sitting in the plane on my way to the US... I had no idea what awaited me. It was very nerve wracking.... I felt such an emptiness... It was so surreal..... my life seems that way given the fact that I've lived in three different continents so far.

used to work in the harbor on the container ships cleaning out the holds with pressure washers.
we'd climb down into the hold down a 4 storey ladder. that was pretty dangerous cuz there was a lot of fumes, we should have had safety harnesses but didn't. luckily i got another job that's safer.
