Have you ever asked someone when they were expecting, only to find out the person is not pregnant?

I have,won't ask it again.Very embarrasing.

Yes, and I was sooooo embarrassed. The woman was gracious and said don't worry about it, but I do not ask that question anymore.

I always heard about people doing it. I'd always laugh when i hear someone made such a mistake. But, one day i just knew that this lady was pregnant she looked like 5 months. So i said OH congratulations how far are you ? You looked at me sadly and said I'm not pregnant. My mouth opened from shocked, embarrassment and i felt like i had personally hurt her. Because the look on her face was hurt. I just used my hand to close my mouth and deeply apologize to her. I never meant to make her feel bad.
I never made that mistake again.

Was at friend's wedding this summer and his aunt had on a nice dress but it was kind of tight and accentuated her stomach. On top of it, she kept resting her hand on it the way pregnant women often do.

So I said to my friend 'I didn't know she's pregnant.'

Nope, she isn't. Had to backpedal out of that one.

yes and the girl ended up dating a friend of mine and she refused to ever talk to me again. She still looks like she is pregnant if you ask me.
