A perfect day is thanking God you are still able to walk the face of this earth.

My perfect day would be not having to wake the children - they would already be up and dressed- properly- my husband would know where the hairbrush was- everybody would eat their breakfast quietly - and put there own dishes away- when I returned from the school run- the fairies would have done all my housework! and made me a cupa- and I would settle down guilt free for the rest of the day watching bullseye and family fortune re runs- oh and i'd win the this morning competition- everyone would appreciate the tea I made them- the children would beg to go to bed early- and my husband would hand me the remote control!!- now wouldn't that be perfect!!1

A day with just enough mist in the air to see volumetric lighting coming from the trees in your yard; cool, but not so cool you need a sweater... yet the sun warms you enough despite the gentle cool wind; the beginning of fall, when all the colors begin to change; and the sky is full of nothing but huge puffy grey clouds with silvery tops.

And then, that night, where all that is left of the clouds are a few wisps on the horizon, the night is exceptionally dark despite the fact there is a full moon, and all the stars are out... the scent of dew and wet leaves and grass are heavy in the air... and you hear the chirping of crickets and the croaking of frogs.

AFAIC... yesterday.

For me, it's any day that I don't have to be jolted awake by an alarm clock, rush to get ready for work, sit and stew in traffic...

Perfect would be the first day of a week's vacation, waking in time to see the sunrise, eating a nice breakfast, then having a day full of fun and new things to see without having to schedule any of it. Go to bed when I feel tired, then wake the next day for more of the same.

It has to be waking up with no alarm, realising you've got nothing to do that day, and dozing off again. Repeat for about 3 hours, get up (don't get dressed) watch all your fave programmes that you've recorded over the last few days and slouch on the couch with a tub of Ben & Jerry's Caramel ChewChew/Haagen Dazs Pralines & Cream.
In the evening, get stinking drunk with mates at home/in the pub, fall asleep, forget all about it, and do it all again the next day!

You have had a good night sleep and the radio alarm wakes you up with your favourite song, you don't have to run to the station 'cause your on time for a change and when you get on the train you have a seat to yourself 'cause it's the school holidays and loads of people are off. You get to work and the Boss smiles and thanks you for the excellent piece of work you did yesterday. You go to lunch with your friends and have a few drinks and a laugh in the local pub. The trains are all on time on the way home, you get in and your hubby has cooked your favourite dinner for you. You speak to your parents on the phone and they are all well and happy, you watch the Wednesday night lottery and win a tenner. You eat a huge bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk. You have got the rest of the week off work as you took it as holiday. You go to bed with a smile on your face. Perfect.

there is no perfect day. you should strive to make every day a more positive one than the last. The next day could be last one so don't hold back!
