I told her I'd cut the onions, but she says I should change and just give them up for her. I love onions & I love her, what am I supposed to do?

Okay, we are talking about "onions" here, the root vegetable that grows in the ground? Your wife is crying because you love onions? Well, it sounds like you REALLY love onions. The question then becomes "do you love onions more than your wife?" I like artichokes, but if my husband were allergic to them, I'd do without artichokes. Maybe you could enjoy onions somewhere where your wife won't be exposed to them (my husband loves cheese doodles and the smell makes me ill, so he eats them outside). That would have to be followed by a powerful floss-rinse-brush routine. If even that won't do it, well, what's more important - onions, or your crying wife?

Three things - You cut the onions if it's so important to you, buy frozen ones, OR keep the onions in the refrigerator. It doesn't harm their quality and there are less fumes when you cut them to cause the tears. A different kind of onion may make a difference too.

Onions, Wife , Onions, Wife. Decisions- Decisions. I think you should go with the one where you get the most satisfaction. Boy is your wife lucky onions don't do sex.
You can always tell her to breathe through her mouth when chopping. That's for the onions ,of course..................

Dude, it sounds like there are deeper issues than the onions.
I say keep eating the onions, and cut them yourself. After you eat them, brush your teeth well and sit down with her and find out what's eating on her besides the onions.

There's a trick to cutting onions with out crying.. chew gum... lol. learned that on TLC. But if anything cut the onions your self.. and even go as far as cooking them too..

Draw the line now. Unless you are doing something morally wrong or bad, dont ever change it for anyone. They will only use that as a starting point. Plus, never let a womans crying get to you. Tell them to go cry where you cant see or hear them doing so.
