It seems that pumpkin is the costume of choice on here so I guess that doesn't fit your criteria. The bumblebees are really cute, I have seen those costumes for infants and I think he would be adorable! One year I dressed one of mine as a California Raisin it was an easy costume to make and kept them warm. Whatever you decide to do, have fun! Don't forget to take a camera at 22 months they are really cute and lots of fun once they get into the swing of things!

When my daughter was that age I honestly just got a Halloween onsie with matching hat and socks. I thought she looked darling and wore it the whole month of October and some of November. I just did not see the reason to spend money on an actual costume they make for babies for just one day. No one was going to see her that day but me and my husband. My daughter is now 2 and this is the first year I got her a costume and we will go out Trick or Treating. However if I was having or going to a Halloween party I might have bit the bullet and got something. I am due to have my son in a few days and already have a new Halloween onsie all set for him to wear this month. If you are dead set on having your 4 month old in a costume then there were some good ideas for costumes for babies and kids in this months Parents magazine. Were they original unique ideas? Probably not, but I guess if you want something different you may have to get out the sewing machine.

Babies R Us Had a super cute Lobster costume, I wanted it for my guy, but he's 7 months and a bit too mobile for a buntingbag costume. Also a deviled egg is a cute cute costume, it's a egg outfit with a devil set of horns and a tail.

Does your older son have something he really wants to be? If so, try to theme it off that. If not, it would be cute to have the older one go as a rabbit and the younger as a carrot :-) Or, as a puppy and a bone.

Is dad going TorT too? You could get the whole family involved. You can be an angel, dad can be a devil, make the baby an angel with a devil's tail, and the little one a devil with a halo.

A Pea in a pod is so cute. A woman on Martha Stewart made her small baby a turkey costume with platter and all. She laid him in the middle of the table and took a picture.....OMG cute!!

I think the absolute cutest costume for an infant is either a bumble bee or a pumpkin. So adorable! Have fun.
