The Earth is actually a duodecahedron. Be careful near the pointy ends.

No, nowhere on the earth is truly flat, and never has been;

The curviture of the earth means that even the flatest lake, best measured ice rink or the Netherlands all curve, which is why we have a horizon, if we didn't we would be able to see until the air became to cloudy for us to.

hope this Answers your question

I remember reading an article some twenty years ago by a member of the "Flat Earth Society". If you manage to track down these guys, you may be able to find at least one. Mind you, if I would be warped back in time to ancient Greece, I would have a hard time convincing them that the earth is actually round; it takes things like telescopes (which they didn't have) to get truely convining arguments.

Hi. There are places on Earth that are flat (not lakes or salt flats, precision tables for manufacturing). If you have limited vision and only look at a small area like this, then you could erroneously conclude the everything beyond was also flat. But if you climbed a mountain (you have climbed a mountain, haven't you?) you would expand your view. It would take a hermetically sealed mind to continue to believe your original conclusion was correct.
