i have been under a lot of stress. im a full-time student and i work full-time, and everything seems to pile up. could stress be the cause of my period being delayed?

Yes! Stress, change in diet, change in sleep, heavy lifting... women are wierd there are many things that can delay ur period. don't panic unless u have reason to think something else is the cause of ur delay. hope i helped

Yes. Up until recently, I was also working and studying full-time. My menstral cycle went out of whack a couple of times, especially around exam time. I have even missed a couple of periods here and there, due to stress. You just need to slow down and rest and relax for a little while. Your body is just telling you that its tired and needs a little break.

Yes, also anorexia or not eating enough or getting enough nutrients, but you sound pretty stressed. But not everyone has a regular period either, in fact, it's kind of rare that people map out the exact dates it's going to occur.

yes it can in fact i done miss alot of months because i've been stress out all u can do is make time for ur self and stop tryna please everyone because if u keep it up then ur body will become off track
take it from me love urself and dont let things come between u and ua healthi've been stressed out for a good 2 years and things aren't getting better and my doc gave me some pills but im not taking them because it will mess me up some where else now i just think about me 1st cux no one else will

Yes yes and yes....but if you are sexually active, that could still be a possibility. However, you do sound like you are under a crap load of stress. If you don't get your period within a week, get a pregnancy test if you are sexually active. If your not sexually active, and you still don't get it, see a doctor.

that is a defant yes. i have missed my period due to stress and i have also been two weeks late on a couple and it was all because of stress.
