bathing a baby everyday will sometimes dry out there skin.
I have bathed my son everyday since he was six weeks old he is now 6 months. He started getting really cranky at night when he was six weeks old and would cry for 3-4 hours every night. a bath sometimes helped alittle to ease the crying, he ended up getting into the routine and gets fussy when he knows it,s time for a bath as soon as he sees the water he stops fussing. It never hurt him any. also my daughter who is now 5 had to be bathed everyday and still does. due to the fact that she will not drink enough water and her urine is very strong causing her to get very red and sore if she does not have a bath everyday.
try some lotion after every bath.

If u prefer a baby, then think of of the youngster. Get on birthcontrol, marry your sweetheart, get a activity, pay your charges on minimum salary for no less than 2 years. If u nonetheless sense comparable to u do now, then decide for it. toddlers are magnificent yet very not common paintings. i'm 40 with a 9 month previous. i admire him with all my heart, and that i thank God on a daily basis for him yet, its not common even at my age. When I was working in a sick baby unit, the babies there went without baths for up to a week and not one of them smelled. Babies aren't like older children; they don't get sweaty or play in the mud so there isn't a need to bath them every day. It's not good for their fragile skin.
What you should do is wash his face, mouth and hands every second or third time you change his nappy (diaper). Use cotton wool and start from the head downwards. That way, he's refreshed without needing the bath.

I give my 2 month old a bath every evening before I put him down to sleep. It relaxes him and he loves getting a bath. I use a little bit of soap and only shampoo every 2 days. I think it's OK so long as you are not using too much soap which dries out their sensitive skin. And dont forget to moisturize with some lotion after- my baby loves getting a massage after bathtime.

My little girl loves to take bathes and she is only 6 weeks old! You can give baby a bath everyday if you'd like, just don't use soap/shampoo everyday, use it every other day or so. Be sure to use a baby lotion afterwards so baby's skin doesn't dry out. Happy Bathing!!

I have a 4 month old baby, well it might be bad for their skin but babies in general are so clean they don't need a bath everyday, i bath him now twice a week that makes him relax and he sleeps better.

I agree, it dries their skin out. My 4 month old gets a bath every 2nd or 3rd day. I keep his bottom clean with wipes and just a warm cloth to the face ears and neck every day in between baths.

You're doctor is right. Bathing a baby every day can lead to increased susceptibility to colds, flus, and other viruses. As well it can dry out their skin. Try bating your baby every other day or 2-3 times a week.
