If he has never been to Southern CA, I definitely suggest Disneyland or Knottsberry Farm. Or Sea World!
If he is also from Southern CA, I would suggest just a park trip to play on the playground and toss a ball. He will remember that forever!
P.S. If he has never been to Disneyland before, check with Mom and Dad first! They may want to be there when he experiences Disneyland for the first time!
Have fun Hon!

I have a three year old boy myself and if your on a budget the best place to take a 3 year old is McDonald's of course, play place and food, wear him out in the play land after he eats. He'll be ready for a nap in no time. Lego Land is also a good place to take him because my son loves to play with Lego's and hot wheels cars. As long as you keep him busy he will love anything because at 3 there minds are like sponges and they soak up everything....

Ok first of all - this question sounds hilarious to me - like you bought a new nephew and are receiving him this weekend. Second, there are plenty of places - Disneyland, Knotts, Legoland, - it just depends on the area you are in.
