Before the occupation-Iraq, which had a relatively moderate regime. Today-Iran, where people are not victims of indiscriminate terrorists attacks.

Iran.
There's no renegade terrorists running around blowing people up.
The economy is much better and so is the quality of life.
The only downside to Iran is that it is more prone to earthquakes than Iraq.
