A woman with a 4 year old child claiming I am the father is sending mail to my girlfriends grandmothers house with court dates to go set up child support. She hasn't even asked me to take a paternity test. Can the state issue a warrant for my arrest if I don't show up for these court dates? Doesn't she have to have the court send these papers to my house and shouldn't they be sent certified mail so she has proof I recieved them? I am just pretending I dont even know about these letters because I wouldn't know about them if my girlfriends grandmother didn't tell me I got mail at her house.

You could lose by default. You may also have your drivers license suspended and any other state permits (contractor etc). Also while you are screwing around, Support payments can be assessed, and when you don't pay, interest DOES accrue.
Does not have to be registered/certified mail.

Deal with this. If you are the father, man up. If not get it over with and get on with your life.

Oh yeah, if you had used a condom, we would not all be laughing at you now................

In all states, child support or child maintenance is the ongoing obligation for a periodic payment made by a non-custodial parent to a custodial parent, for the care and support of children of a relationship or marriage that has been terminated.
You are lucky that you know when there will be court date. You should show up and preferably with lawyer, to contest her claim that you are father of her child (unless you are the one). If you do not appear court will relay on her sworn affidavit that you a father and will grand her child support. It will take much more time and money later to petition court change child support order. And meanwhile she will collect a lot of payments which realistically you will not get back ever.
