If there is a so-called God,he or she did a half-assed job on everything.Which is why I can't understand why people feel the need to worship something that made the earth.
Look how screwed up the world is.Religious freaks will say it's because of mans free will.Wouldn't you think something powerful enough to create a world would want to fix a few things.

.God did create creatures who do not have to eat, they were his first creations: "The heavenly host of angels". As to why we as human beings have to eat only God knows the real answer as to why we are the way we are, why do we fight, why do we hate, why do we struggle against our brothers, why is there greed, why is there corruption, why are we mortal. I think these are more important questions as to our existence. I have a theory. When God created the heavenly host they were created whole and unchanging, complete. Everything was givien to them right from the start, knowldge, eternal life and no wants or needs, complete. Some of his angels rebeled and there was war in heaven and the rebeling angels were cast out of heaven. Let us put this situation into humanistic terms. When people are given everything that they want and do not have to work or struggle for anything they have a tendency to take things for granted and grow complacent, they do not no the value of things because they never had to work for them. This is not always true but much of the time. My theory is that god desided that it was better to create man so that he would have to struggle, grow and know death to learn the true values of life, to be able to understand and appriciate Gods great gift of life. So we eat, sleep, work, grow, change and learn and we know the dark side, hate, greed, anger, lust, fear and mortal death. So that in the end we will understand and appriciate what God wants us to become: the perfect compainions. God created everything because he was lonely and wanted companionship. I hope this was helpfull.

Perhaps this is proof against the existence of God or at least the kind of God you yearn for. Look, the simple truth is many, many eons ago when the plant and animal kingdoms separated, animals lost the ability to make their own food from sunlight, water and soil by photosynthesis. I think what happened was chlorophyll somehow changed to hemoglobin which differs from it only very slightly. So animals lost the power of photosynthesis but they gained blood and the ability to move about the world and find the food they could no longer make. You know, I think they call this sort of thing evolution.

God did not have to create people who don't need to eat because He made food for us to eat.

Who says he didnt? Are we the only planet? The only galaxy? The only powrful species created? As God(or nature) is so powerful we should respect that in th scale of creation we have been around only a very short time. Dont be so narrow minded. We are but a speck of dust in the whole scheme of creation. Stop feeling we are so important.

If people and animals didn't eat, think of what it would do to the food chain. Life as we know it, would cease to exist.

He COULD HAVE... but, instead, He gave us taste buds and plenty of good foods to delight us.... or, are you gonna tell me you don't enjoy the taste of food? I know I love food, especially CHOCOLATE!
By that token, we could ask: why do we see in color, if it's totally unnecesary? we would do just fine seeing in black and white, but God made our eyes with the capacity to see hundreds of colors... just for fun!
