The shape of Universe is determinded by: Gravitational force which is pulling inwards & the force excerted due to momentum of expansion. Imagine, a spherical ball positioned tightly in a doughnet. It's the shape of universe. The curvature of the universe is beyond our imagination. In net net view, even if there is an edge, it cannot be expressed by our measures/standards.

There is an edge to the universe. It is "now". The universe is expanding constantly from the past into the future. So "Now" is on the leading edge of the universe.
Think of the universe as a balloon. All of space is on the surface of the balloon an the air inside is the past. As air (or in this analogy, time) enters the balloon/universe, it expands.
Next time you blow up a balloon think about it. As you put air into it, all the little points on the surface start getting farther and farther away from each other. We see that in the universe as the red shift of galaxies.
It's a good question, though.

While we don't yet know the exact shape of the universe it does have an "edge" in that the electromagnetic radiation produced during the great expansion (big bang) that is still moving outward would be as far as anything can go. Nothing can 'catch up to it' as it is moving at the ultimate speed, therefore it is the edge.

Hi. It's not as simple as a globe. The universe (as I envision it) is spherical but it appears this way FROM ANY POINT WITHIN IT. So you see an boundary 13.5 or so billion light years away. Someone 13 billion light years from you sees that same thing. Someone 13 billion light years further ALSO sees the same thing.

Mom? You have the same name as my mom... but I don't think she's a hat person.
Put shortly there is an edge as far as we are concerned because we could, with out current understanding of the universe, never get past it.

The universe has no beginning or end. But there really is possibilities for time travel, not that that is the question at hand, but thought I'd share it anyway!

At the edge of the univers there is what is called "The Source Wall", it's full of monsters. Superman once imprisoned Darkseid there.
