What shift is better nights or days ?????

I was wondering , in regard to day or night shifts, how many prefer one over the other. I am thinking about changing shifts with this new position I have applied for and have always worked days. I like days for the fact that I get to sleep with the rest of my family but working nights is a different world, a USUALLY much milder pace. PLEASE note that I said USUALLY!!!

I prefer day shifts that way I can have some Family time and relax the rest of the day. =)

There are many factors that you have to figure in, Do you have children at home and if so, who will tend to them if you work nights? And you don't get as much sleep as you do with a day job...You have to remember, most business run on a 9 to 5 shift, so if you coming off a night shift and you want to take care of important calls, this cuts into your sleep time, if you work a day shift, you can at least make these calls while on a break. Then night shifts do tend to be slow,but where I work, they expect alot more done from the night shift, due to the fact that its slower paced, plus the time goes by slower...

I work a 7pm to 3am shift..So, I not only "been" there, I AM there.....

well, you have answered your own question basically. Both have their own set of positives and negatives.
But just to answer your question , I prefer working during day time, coz night time I'm at my creative best, so wanna spend doing something I really really enjoy.
