I am trying to do an evaluation of this medical report and I can not find any information on the uses of gadolinium. So far I do know that it is an metal element of some sort. The report says 20cc of gadolinium.

this is used as an agent (comparitive to contrast in CT) when we do MRI's

Gad is a contrast material used in MRIs. Malignant neoplasms absorb it and are more clearly delineated on imaging.
