Depends on my mood, but I like the following:

Art Institute of Chicago, on Mich Ave, near Buckingham fountain. Great collection and you can visit Sue (the dinosaur).

Museum of Science and Industry - has a Uboat there as well as some fun Jr. Achievement game contest. Lots of fun.

Eduardos - mmm, deep dish pizza. Yep, a definite.

Magnificent mile - Mich Ave, some wonderful shopping including stopping at Watertower place which is a vertical mall, 7 stories I think. :-)

Navy Pier - fun place to just bop around, rides and other stuff

Six Flags (Gurnee) about 45 min north. Good Six Flags park with Batman, American Eagle, Raging Bull and other fun coasters!

Kiddyland - small park but there's the Ferrara Pan factory nearby too so you can get some lemonheads and Atomic Fireballs, etc.!

Marshall Fields - flagship store downtown. Home of the Frango mints. :-)

Chinatown - just south of the city. Lots more good food, especially for dim sum

And of course if it's really cold out, go see Da Bears!

Hope that helps!

Visit the museum at the Art Institute, eat pizza, walk around the city, visit the Skyline Lounge and check out a concert.

Chicago has a lot of great restaurants, so why would someone suggest Red Lobster and Olive Garden? You can go in just about any town in the US and eat there?
