Could you please name the bones of the appendages that would NOT be considered long bones...? What are their technical and common names ??

I was thinking that the "short bones" "flat bones" and "irregular bones" would be the answer, but I need to know if it is right, or what the right answer is.

Thankyou for your help

The bones of the hand (NOT the phalanges!) to include:

Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetral, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, Hamate

The bones of the foot (trasals) to include:
calcaneus, talus, navicular, cuneiform, cuboid

And the patella, of course.

humerus, radius, ulna, femur, tibia, fibula, phalanges, metacarpals and metatarsals are long;

patella (kneecap) is a sesamoid bone, not long

carpal (wrist) and tarsal (ankle) bones are not long bones either

nor are the os coxae (hip) bones...they are part of pelvic girdle, irregular bone
