Why do some women think having your bra straps hanging out is sexy?

There is this young woman I work with and she loves to show her bra straps off and sometimes the front of her bra with low cut shirts.

Sometimes she will wear shirts that go super low in the back and she shows her bra strap (where it clips) hanging out.

She also wears shirts that go off the shoulder and her bra straps are hanging out and they are weird colors so they are noticeable.

And her favorite thing to do is wear white shirts or light colored shirts with BLACK bras. What is that about?

It looks like trailer trash!

Can someone explain this fashion?

I agree that this is stupid. Sometimes though, my bra straps show, but it is unintentional, and when i notice, I just tuck them back under.

Younger women see many actresses and models sporting their underwear, so they think it is fashionable and acceptable.
With the prices the young pay for their bras, I guess I would want to show them off too.
I was shopping with a teenage grand daughter this last week, and all the tops that fit her were very low cut and had these teeney tiny straps. She laughed at my observations and said, Gramps, that's why we have to go buy some matching bras and shrugs.
Sure enough, the department store had matching bra colors for all the tops and an endless array of shrugs. Shrugs are these tiny short jackets that she has to wear to be allowed into school with these flimsy tops.
Perhaps your co-worker doesn't earn enough to be able to afford the whole ensemble. Maybe you help get her a raise?
Pity you think it makes her looks trashy. Is she mean to you or does she do other things that annoy you also?
Because from what I saw at the department stores, even the business suits look a bit trashy these days. And not very many young people have the time to sew their own reasonable clothes any more. Actually, most of us never had the time.
If it truly bugs you, show what an ignoramous you are and mention that her bra is showing. She will probably get the hint and give you her answer in person!

SHE WANTS ATTENTION and yes that is trashy. i've seen really pretty straps that are just diamonds and you attatch them to a strapless bra if you wanted to wear a pretty dress but need the straps for support.

they are very pretty just like jewelry. but plain different colored bras for no reason is just plain trashy. that's my opinion. i never ever wear shirts to show my bra straps entirely and if they do show i just tuck them under.

many girls wear black lacey bras and they show in the front if they go clubbing or out to a bar sometimes and sometimes that can be sexy with the type of shirt you have on..and the whole entire front would not be showing ofcourse.

but to work with not the right clothes and when you can see the bra through the shirt...sounds pretty trashy to me.

shouldn't she be fired for not dressing correctly?? lol

i like that fashion..the only thing i don't like is showing the bra strap from behind. but i do like showing colored straps on the shoulders and using black bras..its nice!

She does seem to like to show it off for attention. Unfortunately for the rest of us, it is very difficult to find anything in the stores that doesn't show something. I find myself very conscious of my bra/bra strap showing. I can't stand it.

wearing it to work I don't think is appropiate, and also depending on her age is another factor now how ever if she's young and don't do it at work I don't see any thing wrong with it, its a part of the fashion world today, and if she knows how to stlye it (dress it) it's fine.

It's gross...I don't wnat anyone seeing my bra or panties....so, why would I want to see theirs.It's just gross!I just think peopole who do that thinks it's cool or sexy, when in reality it is a look of sluttiness!
