Hi all. 26m here. I started 1 month + ago to feel like my ear was clogged, and i would wake up with my ear feeling so clogged i thought i was losing my hearing. went to doc recently, he prescribed drops( Murine ear wax removal system)..I actually felt even worse, like my ear was so much more clogged it felt as if it was going to pop.. now 1 day after, i still feel clogged. very bad.. he he, so i decided to look at my ear with the webcam to see what was going on. Notice i said webcam, because it's an IBOT computer camera but i don't mean i showed it to someone , i mean i connected it to the computer and with a computer video program you can see the video on the computer screen. So what i noticed is i have a tremendous amount of hard wax starting from the ear canal and going deeper into the ear. no wonder i feel like this. But i've used peroxide and murine ear wax removal kit,, and i don't get any relief..i even tried water..and that hard wax doesn't seem to disolve.. what todO?

Go to the doctor and request that he/she flush your ears, my son is 9 and he has the same problem, he has to go to the doctor every 6 to 8 weeks to have them flushed. Doctor says he has narrow ear canal, and the flushing isn't painful, it just feels funny he says.

Sign of growing older------use peroxide, and leave it in there at least a minute to boil out the hard wax. You will probably need to do this at least monthly if not weekly. Best to do it in the shower, just take your bottle with you when you bathe. In the shower you don't have to worry about it getting on your clothes and you can rinse off the residue that comes out. You may also need to get one of the bulb devices like they use to clear out a baby's nose-and use it to flush the ear canal with peroxide. Good luck, it is a pain..

I had this happen three years ago and now I think it is happening again.
first don't use Q-tips, they push the wax into the ear. nobody should use them the wax removal drops are better.

I got my problem with the wax taken care of by a Dr., he got the wax out with a metal hook like thing. It didn't feel good, but when the wax was out i felt like 2 million bucks. go back to the Dr. and tell him the drops aren't working. hope this helps, like i said i think i have the problem again.

You could possibly have swimmers ear, it is a condition caused by the chemicals in the water system. If you have had your ears flushed out, this might help. My doctor recommended that I use the shower stream to wash my inner ear....just wash with soap and water like normal but let the stream of the water hit your inner ear. It is only because you don't have proper drainage in your ear, it is common. When swimming; use ear plugs and if you have to take a bath instead of a shower, don't put your head below the water. Hope this helps

How many times did you use the wax removal system? Do the instructions say that you have to use it more than once, or periodically? Try using it a couple of times if the instructions say it's safe to do so.

If that doesn't work, go back to your doctor. DON"T go rooting around in there with anything - have your doctor clean it out.

you have what is called inpacked wax, meaning it's so far into your ear that you can get it out. go back to your dr. or to an ears, nose, and throat specialist and TELL him you want your ear wax removed while in the office. they have these enormous flushers that they will insert in your ear and FORCEFULLY pump water into your ear with such intensity that ALL the wax will eventually come out. he/she may have to use the pump more than once, but the end product (being wax free and able to hear) is worth the tiny inconvenience a flushing amounts to.
Good luck!

Find an Ear Candle. It's awesome and will give you relief. I've used one off/on for years. You have to have someone help you though -- and put a large towel on the floor first.

you need to go back to the Dr. and have him/her flush out your ears with water. It only takes a couple of minutes and is painless. It just feels weird. I'm surprised they didn't offer this to you in the first place....Good Luck..."Can You Hear Me Now?"

my dad was losing his hearing so my mom went to the health store, or vitamin store and bought these ear wax candles. what it does is draws your ear wax up into the candle. i sounds weird but it WORKS. they used to be a huge thing. they would have parties surrounding around this theme. just go to the vitamin store and ask the sales person and ask them to tell you how you do it. i know it sounds weird but it's worth a try.

Go to an herbal/natural remedy store and ask for some ear candles. They are cones that you stick in your ear and light on fire. I know, sounds crazy, but they work!!! The fire creates a vacum by sucking oxygen and in turn vacumes out your ear wax. I know how it sounds but you don't have to take my word for it.

And stop eating dairy products...they contribute to the problem.
