I have a very low metabolism despite eating fairly healthy and getting 20 min of cardio excerise everyday. Is there an herbal supplement (in capsule form- no horrible tasting liquid) that will give my energy a boost? Also, do you know of any healthy remedies for a quick-fix to low energy?

Hops are a very useful supplement. However, they are useless in their natural state.

It is only when they have been through the beer fermenting process that their properties become apparent. Caution, it is only effective in liquid form and so must be drunk in large quantities.

Apparently, there can unfortunately be some severe side effects such as dizziness, bloating, vomiting and headaches.
It must help with the metabolism as having drunk this remedy I have often bounced around rooms and walls before running to the toilet.

However, I have perservered with this natural treatment for many years and I seem to be in good health, so I presume it works!!

Nothing you injest into your body can be guaranteed unharmful (in any way). BUT if you want to try ginsing, it can boost your metabolism. Just start out slow and steady with usage. It can have some pretty strong side effects. If you notice your waking up in the night and can't go back to sleep, reduce or remove it from your diet.

I would avoid all herbal supplements. Ask yourself: "What happens when I stop taking them?"

Because if they really work, then you would gain all the weight back when stopping the supplement right? And that means that you would have to become a lifetime consumer of the product, which can cost a lot. For that kind of money, I'd rather do Liposuction.

Best way to reduce metabolism w/o drugs is to eat more frequently and in less amounts. You can drink more caffeinated drinks and eat more fruits. That works too.
