well, I am a Cowboys fan. But yes, I do think it was a mistake that Philly let T.O. go. He can make a team very good. When he was in SanFran, they had a good team. Same thing with Philadelphia. I think it's a matter of whether or not his attitude hurts the team more than his amazing talent helps them. In the case of the Eagles, either he or Donovan had to go. McNabb is an average QB without him but a decent QB can be hard to find. I would take him until he started causing problems.

Everything in Philly would've been just peachy if the coaching staff would've addressed the problems before it got out of hand. After the first time it was reported in the media that T.O. and McNabb were at odds, the coaches should've put an end to it then instead of letting it drag out. Also, with a performance like he had in the Superbowl, why would they not want to redo his contract? His performance was nothing short of miraculous coming off of a severe ankle injury. It's funny how Philly fans are......he was the greatest thing for their team up until he got kicked off of the team.

Westbrook is doing a decent job of filling in for T.O. Besides, with him gone, the Eagles are finally able to "breathe". I mean, hasn't everyone else noticed more attention to the Cowboys since T.O. left?

NO--it was NOT a mistake. T.O.--although a talented receiver--was a cancer to the team. Good riddance. The Eagles and McNabb are fine without him as proven so thus far.
(Can't wait to boo him on Sunday; the decible level @ the Lincoln Finacial will be at an all-time high)!

In short there really is no definitive answer. They let him go because of the problems that were being caused by him being on the team rather than from a poor performance. All one has to do is look at his stats for Philly in particular and realize that he WAS a great asset performance wise. So yes they did lose a good football player. However his locker room and off field antics left alot to be desired. If he can be on an NFL team and mesh and get along with everyone and keep his mouth shut when necessary, he IS a great asset to any team

McNabb isn't an "average" QB without Owens, anyone who thinks that is ignorant and more than likely doesn't like the Eagles.

No he was a poison. 3-1 start without him and should have won all four without a 4th quarter choke. GO EAGLES
