Can I just lightly tap the wheel if I want to avoid a bankrupt space on the wheel?

I think as a matter of form the wheel must make one complete rotation. If this wasn't a rule it would be easier to intentionally land on an amount rather than it be almost random which is the case when the are multiple rotations.
It's never explicitly stated on the tv show, but they probably advise the contestants of this beforehand.

Yes, the wheel has to go all the way around. The host has busted people on this during the life of the show ...

I would threaten to tell everyone that the two girls are lesbians and even if it's not true if you tell a few random people and say you saw them. with details or just say you'll do something like that. or you could figure out something true you could use against them!!

i believe it needs to make one full rotation...
however if it didnt, that would be awesome..more money in the bank.

it must make one full turn otherwize it is reset and you start again
