There aren't really a lot of options, tickets for the NFL generally sell out the whole season for big fanbase teams (like the Steelers, Broncos, Packers, etc.)
The best bet is to probably look for scalpers at the game. Panthers are looking good this year, so it'll be difficult to get tix no matter how you do it.
I only go to one game a year (I'm a Chiefs fan in SoCal, so I can only go to the division game when they come to San Diego) and I generally have to buy those tickets as soon as they go on sale before the season starts. Good luck.
