Globalization will mean the end of the American way of life. The U.S. will be at the mercy of foreign investors who will plunder our economy, reducing this nation to third world status!

To date, globalization has been very good to everyone but unskilled laborers. Those people without high school educations are the ones competing against cheap foreign labor. Workers in non-tradable markets (services-- haircuts etc, construction) are generally less effected.
Foreign trade has driven down prices on almost everything we import from clothing to electronics. Countries like China are intentionally keeping prices low through currency manipulation, so that they can build there economy on these exports. There are issues with these practices, but Americans have largely been the recipients to date.
Unemployment numbers are historically average, skilled worker wages haven't suffered and inflation hasn't been an issue. The only macroeconomic indicators that would show negative effects of globalization is wages for those without a high school degree, the trade deficit and the shrinking of some industries. Americans as a whole haven't been harmed by globalization.

In other words, you want poverty stricken nations to remain dirt poor and their people to suffer.
Will you tell your kids that if they study really hard, one day they can sew together someone else's underwear for a living. Is that the goal that Americans should now teach their children?
You don't seem to have a problem with Government monopolies. Is there anything worse in America today than our government owned, government controlled monopolized education system?
Do you really want politicians controlling trade and production. Where in the world has that EVER turned out good?
Should we just start referring to our politicians as master right now?

Globalization is the only long term solution to creating world peace. If we are to complain about the wealthy class standing on the shoulders of the poor and middle-class in our own country, we must not ignore the fact that even the poor of our country are standing on the shoulders of the world's poor.
...but that's just what I think.

Globalization is creating some difficulties in the economy in certain areas , and there are some treats to our middle class. I also see and trust in the American spirit being able to overcome and survive any downside of Globalization.

Hi,
I think globalisation of economy not so bad. since it's will decrease tax. although many country who can't compete later will be much loss.
I know that many MNC will get advantage cause they will get worker more cheaper and also they dont have to pay tax. but this is also no need much worried since they also have competitor and for sure always compete to be more bigger and bigger. that's why product can be more good and more cheaper. So the last we have to do is always learning to be better....
Cheers !!

Unfortunately, it's more Americanization rather than globalization! But as a whole and at long term it benefits are more than costs. At least, it seems so...
