I don't think either. My dog breaks stuff all the time, and that doofus never seems to have any ill effects. Bad luck for us, but not for her, because when she breaks something, we're temporarily mad, but then we look in her doe eyes and...she's just so cute, we don't really care. Having a goofball Dalmatian makes you care a lot less about material things. And it also forces you to clean the house and dog-proof it so she won't destroy as much stuff. So, it's actually good luck, in a way.

If it was a big mirror than thats ok because the mirror is for humans. If it was a dog mirror then the guy is screwed.
But then again 7 dog years equals 1 human year....so one year of bad luck ain't so bad :P

Personally and i would say logically i would say that it would be 7 years bad luck(if any) in terms of human years. The reason being that mirrors are an artificial creation of mankind technological advances. Abeit taken from natural influences such as water relections. Thus the 7 years of bad luck directly relates to a human creation thus, the punishment in this case would be served out in human measurements.

May help you but thats what i would go or.

I think you have to be aware of the superstition for it to apply to you. So, I think the dog who broke the mirror may not have any bad luck at all, unless he is a really smart dog that can understand abstract concepts. Some poodles can.

Neither.. There is no such thing as good luck or bad luck There are only Life paths with lessons we learn for our own souls perfection.
Dogs and other Animals are not on the same spiritual plan as we are.

Very superstitious, Writing on the wall
Very superstitious, Ladder's 'bout to fall
Thirteen month old baby, Broke that looking glass
Seven years of bad luck, Good things in the past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer, superstition ain't the way

Very superstitious, wash your face and hands
Rid me of the problem, get all that you can
Keep me in a daydream, keep me going strong
You don't want to save me, sad is my song

When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer, superstition ain't the way

Very superstitious, nothing more to say
Very superstitious, devil's on his way
Thirteen month old baby, broke that looking glass
Seven years of bad luck, good things in the past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
You will suffer, superstition ain't the way

Neither. The luck is not dependent on a mirror breaking or not breaking.

none- the bad luck dates back to when we had servants, if a servant broke a mirror the boss took it out of their wages for 7 years. thats what my gran told me anyway.
