~The furniture refinishing is a good idea. You can do it without going to a class. Just look it up online...buy a small hand sander (like the black and decker mouse..i have that and its great) and buy some new finish or some paint....my fiance and I have done this together for a sofa table and two dressers. Fun, and you get a good feeling of accomplishment.
~We also did a puzzle together once and bought some puzzle glue to save it. It took a couple evenings to do it and it was really fun.
~We also won Mario Sunshine (for gamecube) twice. Playing a video game will take several evenings lol.
~We also started watching shows on dvd...we got way into Nip/Tuck, Scrubs, The Office, etc.
~We have also done home improvement projects together (painting rooms or closet doors, fixing stuff), redecorating can also be fun (switching items from room to room, moving furniture)
~We've also worked on our vehicles together (which you can probably do in the garage if its cold). Nothing too expensive, just new lights for ones that are out, replacing bad parts, adding little new features.

Are you both creative? Do own your own home? If so find and empty wall and start a murel. Draw a large picture on the wall then start painting it..It is a lot of fun to create something together and then have a little extra fun painting it. Movies are also alot of fun to watch or what about cooking..if you both like to cook take turns making something new and have the other help you prepare it.
Massages are always nice..and bubble baths together..hikes, just bring a flash light. Start writing a book together..whether it is just for the two of you to read or you would actually like to publish it.
Here are a few idea's I could go on for hours but then I wouldn't be spendinf any time with my husband.. :)
Good Luck..I hope something helped

There are lots of things to do at night, before bed. My wife and I are in the same situation as you, middle of BFE and dark about 7:30. We bought a telescope for stargazing, walk the dogs in the park, have friends over for cards, snuggle up with eachother and a movie, play team battleship over the phone with her brother and girlfriend in texas, have a small fire in the drive way, lay in bed and talk to eachother, or anything else that is fun to us. And as for sex, it sounds like you have become bored, but Lo-and-Behold this IS the internet. If you need ideas, just type into a search engine something like "spice up my sex life" and presto, 101 ways to tie eachother up for an evenings fun.

Is there somewhere you could take dance classes together? Or take a cooking class together. Something new that you can share...
Start taking hikes together or have "theme date" nights...do you want it to be just you and him or expand it to include others? If you are open to having others join you, start a games night or a poker night or even a progressive dinner where you start with appetizers at one couple's house then go to the next house for salad, the next for the entree and so on until it's dessert and coffee at the last house. You are only limited by your imagination....

Make some tea (or coffee) and talk. Cook dinner together, or make dessert. Watch your favorite TV series. Play World of Warcraft or Guild Wars. Invite another couple over, or visit them. Go out to an inexpensive restaurant. Give each other a massage.

Take an adult learning class together at a local school or college. My parents took "Furniture Refinishing" and repaired some of my Grandmother's prize antiques - which she ended up giving them for fixing them!
if this isn't an option, is there a board game that you both like? Is there a local charity that you could cook (together) for? Is there a book you could both be reading and discuss?

does your town have miniature golf? How about bowling? Maybe a short drive out of town to get to these activities?
Sorry, but I have to say this in reference to your small town, Cow tipping?
Sorry, I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist. But, my first two answers were serious.
Good luck.

Try doing something that will be special for both of you, If there is something that you have always wanted to do, talk to him about it and go. It will be extra special if you experience it together!
