Well just recently they passed a law that they can incarcerate American citizens indefinitely without council, or trial. That was some accomplishment.

Edit: it is now ok to torture, another great thing for Americans.

1st, it is the American people who are in charge of everything. As IKE said it best, "America is not defined by what happens in Washington, it is defined by what happens at the dinner table."

2nd, More people own homes today than any time ever in history.

3rd, More people are employed, both in quantity and in percentage, than in any time ever in American History.

4th, teen pregnenancy and drug abuse is down. Probably has nothing to do with who is in washington, but is still pretty cool.

5th, If you come to a crossroads and turn the wrong way, going backwards is going forwards. it is an issue of perspective. I think we are going in the right direction, but I wish we would go there faster. it is the impatience that drives conservatives against the GOP.

6th, I wish the GOP was more conservative. If they were more conservative, then we would be better off.

Chris W,
Regan and Geo W are both big government guys (in practice not rhetoric). Both grew the government.

Bill shrank federal government spending in real dollars and as percent of GDP.

People that say Republicans are the conservative party economically have to go back to Nixon to find a fiscal conservative to compare with Clinton, Carter, or Kennedy.

How about we just say the libs still have the 9th Circuit, and that's about it...

OH, and I don't hear a lot of criticism for "marching in lock-step" in this question... Didn't you get that memo?

Sadly, they've not done nearly enough. They've had three years to bring back the small government principles of Reagan and all they've done is grow the government even more than spendaholic Bill Clinton. It's disgraceful.

the conservatives are not in charge of everything. most republicans are moderates. sadly the republicans in office today have become inept like their democrat predecessors.

Todays republican Party has failed the the contract with America and need to be woke up.
