I posted a legitimate question about something I had read and it was instantly assumed that I believed the suppostition of the article. Talk about reading into things. Why is it that instead of dealing with what you have in front of you, (by you I am refering to the general you, as in reader) be it disagreable to you or not, you tend to insult and retreat to something that you can use to defend, be it relevent to the situation or not? If this is how all politicians behave, maybe we need new ones, and lots of them.

In defense of answerers:

1. At least 1/2 of the questions posed are for the purpose of making a point, expressing a partisan view. They are not asked because the asker really wants information or wants to hear different views. So it's quite reasonable for the answerers to assume that's what the asker is doing.

2. A lot of people don't thoroughly read the question. Some are at work and not really supposed to be doing this!

3. The shorter the question, the less likely you'll be misunderstood.

From experience, you can ask legitimate questions here but rarely get a good answer. Most here are so lost in their hatred of Libs vs Cons that logic ceases to exist for many anymore. Yes it is frightening that many voters are like this and hopefully some day we can all screw are heads back on straight again.

I hear that. I don't know what questions you're talking about, but it does scare the hell out of me that a lot of these people might actually vote.
