Lion-O's sword was just awesome.. the way it grows and makes that cool lightsaber sound with each fling, and finally culminating in the thundercat signal. Heman's sword was cool, but all it seemed to be good for was turning adam into he-man. It wasn't "alive" like the sword of omens.

Unfortunately, this isn't the best sword. There was an episode which pitted sword of omens against Excalibur. If I remember correctly, Excalibur defeated the blade by striking it dead smack in the eye.

Other noteworthy weapons include elric's mournblade and stormbringer, both having the ability to steal the souls it slays and transferring the strength to its owner.

They both suck, Neither one could be used properly in combat. He-man's would probably be worse because it seems very unbalanced and unuseable. Lion O's because it has all that frilly crap on the crossguard which could get tied up in your opponent's clothing or armor (swordsmanship did involve grappling) or allow him to control your sword much easier.

Any of these is a far far better quality sword than either he-man's or the sword of omens (lion o).

I personally like the Knight (Oakeshott type xii) or the Baron (Oakeshott type xiiia)

While the sword itself doesn't make that much of a difference, anyone walking into combat with a heman sword would be at a SEVERE disadvantage and likely lose, and the sword of omens is a gaudy parade sword that is so highly decorated it can only be classified as a ceremonial sword not meant for combat and likely not well balanced and the user would be at a disadvantage against a real sword.

I am not familiar with the aragorn sword, but based on the fact that it was a movie sword and likely not designed to be balanced for combat (historical proportions and make) and it was broken and put back together in the movie (thus making it very weak) it would also put the user at a huge disadvantage.

I think Lion O's because he could use it for so many other functions besides just as a sword. He-man's did help him change from a young boy to a man, but it didn't really do much else.

Neither although Lion-O's sword has those semi-cool bonuses but He-Man's makes changing clothes handy.

I'd go for Anduril the sword of Aragorn (commands an army of undead warriors) or any of the 12 Swords of Powers from the Fred Saberhagen's Books of the Swords or the Books of the Lost Swords hey a sword that keeps killing your enemies even after they killed you or one that kills someone far away just by you saying their name and throwing it.

Sweeeeet.
