Ever notice how amazing human beings are in a crisis. Take the 911 incident. There were hero's coming out of the woodwork (of every color and culture). When tragedy strikes, all the good in humanity seems to come pouring out but when there's something not quite so tragic like; stand up for someone else who is being picked on or harassed or just lending a helping hand or standing up for what we believe to be right...humans fall terribly short. So I guess the answer to your question is "no", people don't give a crap, because when push comes to shove, we're all too caught up in our own lives and problems to care about anyone else's, which is damn sad.

Very good question. In my personal experience, it's a 50/50 thing. Most people are good, and wouldn't do that to save their lives, but there's a lot of people out there who wouldn't only kick sand in your face when you're down, but they'd also kick you in the gut and spit on you just for the hell of it. It's sad.

alot of people wont care... but if they are close to you or very caring than they will help you... if you ever find someone that gives a crap stay close to them...

good friends/family will help you when you are down
other people are not emotionally available themselves in a crisis.
