I learned along time ago you have to make men think it was their idea or use an approach that will make them want to do something. For example:
Women:"Honey, where is your tool box? I think my fan belt is loose so I'm going to take a look at it."
Man: "Just leave it, I'll look at it later."
Women: "No, honey you relax. I'm going out to look at it now."
Man: "That's okay, I'll go do it now the games over anyway."
