Because he needs to go online and check his ebay account. He is bidding on that blow-up squid doll he's dying to get his tentacles on. The auction ends in ten minutes and he wants to make sure he doesn't get outbid by that damn sea urchin again like he did on the autographed picture of the Little Mermaid.

Disclaimer: Though octopus's prefer to write with ink, as everyone knows, due to their natural supply of the substance, which it turns out is quite tasty in pasta, the keyboard seems like a natural progression in octo-technology, and many have converted to this form of input. On a side note...as with all evolutionary changes, some rather industrious octopus's around the globe have actually stopped the production of ink, leaving them solely dependent on the keyboard.

Take it out of the flipping aquarium, your octopus will then leave it alone. It must be a territorial thing.

maybe he has a lover on the computer and would like to talk to her once in a while and you are hogging the keyboard!!! you are lucky he isn't dive bombing you!!!

because he jsut wants to help u type he sees u been typing a while and thinks it neat and wants a try so give him the keyboard to try
