well first of all food and napkins and utinsils...a blanket to sit on maybe a rose(for me) and make sure you come of coarse and maybe a little radio to have some tunes and a bottle of wine well for me water please and maybe we should wear our bathing suits because the picnic has to be on the beach and then we could go for a playful dip afterwards...

Bring a bottle of blush wine to drink. To eat start with some brie or sharpe cheddar cheese with/ water crackers and some seedless grape to compliment the cheese. For main course pack some delicious sandwich's made with sliced store baked bread, manchego cheese smoked ham & smoked red peppers. Then for something sweet have chocolate covered strawberries. Don't forget a candle (in a jar in case its breezy) to add romance ! Yummy !

a picnic basket with finger foods easier to eat, paper plates, wine, champagne or a non alcohol drink and glasses or plastic cups or a thermos with something warm to drink, chocolate covered strawberries, if by a fire you also can roast marshmallows and make smores, napkins, a blanket you may need 2 depending on the weather

Depending on age, some wine, cheese and crackers, grapes, and maybe some finger sandwiches, and couple bottles of water. Portable music player is nice too.
If it is a parent and child, PB&J, snack crackers, juice boxes, grapes, and maybe a frisbee or football to toss around or drawing paper and crayons and you can draw the scenery.

A bottle of wine, crackers, cheese and fruit (preferably strawberries), a soft blanket and a portable CD player already set up with the music you choose to set the mood :)

insect repellent maybe a fly torch or swatter and a blanket maybe some pillows a parasol umm a deck of cards or a ball like a soccer ball or a frisbee a hammock would be sweet umm a doggy. food of course drinks of course a cell phone some mace depending on area umm a survival knife again depending on area a stereo or a iPod with speakers possibly a change of clothes. sounds like fun. :D i wanna go take me j/k.
