Nothing as far as I can tell, they are pacifists.

If this is in reference to the school shooting yesterday then that has nothing to do with what the Amish have done. That was a horrible act violence to a truly undeserving people. No one deserves to be brutally murdered like that, but the Amish are the essence of purity. That man targeted that school because it was easy. I am truly hurt by this occurrence and i hope people can see just what a dangerous place our world has become.

I used to live by Pennsylvania Dutch Amish people when I lived in Missouri. They were kind, extremely helpful, good natured, and a lot of fun to be around. They live life like it should be lived. I too enjoyed the simplicity of that life with all the luxuries and no bills. A slower pace of life they live. Fairly stress free. They enjoy life. How could another human being murder those innocent young people? He must have been demonically possessed to do such a thing.
Note to Deggs; I will pray for you as well.

Now I had no idea about what happened until I read what happened through here. There are three sick answers here and they deserve all the thumbs down they are getting. I hope the person who committed this crime rots in hell for eternity and beyond. They should throw the person into jail & solitary confinment so that an easy way out of this life is not available. This is a sickening act on am innocent set of people.

Nothing. Some people prey on the weak or in this case, people with no defence. The worst part is this nut case took his own life. He was totally crazy and in the end, a coward. Along with the parents of the children, I feel sorry for his wife. The girl's parents have their friends and relatives for support. The guy's wife will have to live alone, with his guilt.

Nothing. Unfortunately they were the closest group he could find that in most cases the young people wont fight back or argue with an adult because that is the way they are raised.
What a waste of lives especially truly innocent lives. May God bless them and keep them in the palm of His hand.
Also pray for the gunman's wife and children. They will have to live with the stigma of this horrible event for the rest of their lives also.

Nothing. But they started in Switzerland. The Swiss have just voted for draconian laws against illegal immigrants, asylum seekers and foreigners. They should remember that Jakob Amman was forced to flee his native Switzerland because of religious persecution.

I beleive he targeted them for the specific reason that he felt he could get away with more - they had no phone in the school house, they would have no alarms, no protection, the kids would be less likely to advance back on him. He was a weak pathetic man preying on innocents and I hope he rots in the bowels of hell.

Cottage by the Sea.
It's not the place you live in, who inhabits the dwellings; it's the evil prowling around from outside seeking to destroy like this crazed man did.
Such a beautiful and loving community. God bless them always.
Note to Deggs: It's people like you I wonder about?
