Im 10 weeks pregnant with twins and im not severly sick, but i do have a lingering nausea throughout most days and the only thing that helps it is a cold icee (you know the frozen cokes or flavored drinks) and I know that this isn't good for you when pregnant, but does it hurt to have one a day?

why do you think its not good? i dont see why not.. if you are reffering to the caffiene in a coke, you CAN have caffience while pregnant just not an excessive amount of it.. 2 or 3 a day would be fine.

No- if it sooths your stomach go for it. You'll probably be eating far more bizarre things in a matter of weeks! I'm pretty sure there is no link between icees and any type of birth defects. If you're body craves it or responds favorably to the consumption then there is nothing to worry about. Try a Ginger Ale icee- ginger is said to be good at calming nauseous stomach.

Have a great day!!!

I think any doctor will tell you to avoid sugar, caffeine, etc., but if you do these things in moderation, it's not the end of the world. When my wife was pregnant, she CRAVED soda, so she had one can of Coke each day and the pregnancy went pretty smoothly. If having an Icee is the worst of your problems, you're doing OK.

Coke isn't good for you wether you're pregnant or not. The 7-11 near me has fruit icees made with real fruit juices if you can find something like that it might be a little better than pop.

One icee a day will not hurt you. You are very lucky to not have the "morning sickness" at an extreme level. By the end of your 3rd month this nausea will subside. It is caused from the amount hormones your body is producing.

At this point, you eat what will stay down. The only thing I wanted to eat during that nausea period was cheese or Apple Jacks. I did however, have to stop the Apple Jacks in my 3rd trimester since my blood sugar levels were a bit elevated. I'd stay away from the frozen coke one...no caffeine!

Having survived 9 months of morning sickness for 2 pregnancies, I can tell you that anything that works to quell nausea is GOOD FOR YOU. That being said, you should probably avoid the cola flavored drinks as they may contain caffeine. The most important thing to remember is: Pregnancy is only temporary, it will end and you will survive.

That's kinda surprising. My mother was pregnant with twins a couple of years ago. She craved icee's during her whole pregnancy. She ate one nearly everyday, and even asked the doctor to make sure it was fine. She never reallly had and problems, and now has two healthy babies. You should be fine, there isn't anything wrong with them.

Good luck and Congratulations!

No, it won't hurt you to have one a day. Just make sure the rest of your diet is good and healthy, make sure you're getting enough nutrients (especially if you're nauseous and not eating as much). Also, be careful of coffee or coke flavored ones, as the caffiene may make you jittery or more nauseous. But, if that's what calms your stomach down enough so that you can eat a healthy meal, then go for it!
