If it's really wet, the inside of your pillow could get wet...then get moldy.
Gross.
And to all those people who say you can get sick from cold wet hair...start reading your medical journals. You can only get sick from germs/bacteria/viruses. It doesn't matter if you go out with wet hair or not.

if you want to sleep with your hair wet and just finish drying it in the morning that's fine..i would think anyway. just put your hair in a ponytail before you go to bed. that's what i do. but i wouldn't do it every night. dry it when you can but don't use the highest heat setting either because that will damage your hair as well. and wrap a nice size towel around your pillow so the pillow does NOT get soaked from your hair.
*hope this helps*

Depends, sometimes it can get you sick. Some people sleep with their fan on and their hair wet, bad idea. Plus doesn't it leave you bad results in the morning? It shouldn't be a hassle to dry and dry it out as best you can. The wetter your hair is, the more likely you can get a cold is what I hear, but then again all people are different and are immune to different things. Peace Holla ~1~

I asked my hair dresser this question and she told me that it isn't good because when hair is wet the hydrogen bond is broken. Therefore, hair strands are more fragile and easier to break and if you are a
restless sleeper you can damage your hair on regular cotton pillow case.
She recommend to prevent hair breakage that I put my hair up in ponytail before going to sleep and only brush dry hair. Again, these are only suggestions.

I throw a towel over my pillow for those nights I don't feel like drying my hair. I also replace my pillows every six months to a year. I don't see any problem other than split ends.
