I sympathize with you and I don't know if you would want to do this but I did and it worked. When I was younger I would double up with the cramps, talked to my gyno and he said that cramps were caused by pressure, he asked me if my husband would be okay having intercourse while on my period, my husband was terrific, no problem, we did and my cramps while they didn't go away completely, eased so much that I was able to go about my daily routine without any stress and it was very enjoyable. But again, this is not for everyone,

There is a yoga position especially designed just for that.
From a position on all fours., bend forwards as you breath out. Put your chest fully on the ground wit the head between the arms, and turned to one side.. Do some deep and calm breathing, then turn the head to the other side, and repeat the breathing there.
This is a position naturally used by babies when they don't feel well in the stomach, and is hence called the Baby Posture,
The Yoga of Mindfulness : Asokananda.

In addition to the answers you already have :)
ginger is an anti-spasmitic- it releaves cramps and nausia.
Health food stores sell powered ginger in capsules- and taking those will reallyhelp- especially if you combine it with heat and motin.
If you like sushi ginger, or crystalized ginger, those work great too- and taste good.

Rest, and keeping warm. The hot water bottle or heating pad work good. Avoid eating and drinking ice cold stuff. If all else fails take Midol. Just my experience...

A hot pad and ibuprofen.
Don't bother with Midol. It's overpriced. Read the active ingredients. Ibuprofen and caffeine.
Just drink a caffeine rich drink with your ibuprofen.
