The zit has been gone for months but the red dot remains. Does anyone know what product gets this off?

You can't really get rid of the red marks left over from a blemish. That is inflamed tissue resulting from the healing process. The thing you can do is try and prevent blemishes, which pro-active may do for you.
I have hyperpigmentation from blemishes which results in darker skin where the blemish was. Since it is pigment, it is permanent. I have found that using a vitamin C serum such as skinceuticals has helped tremendously with minimizing the pigmentation, though it doesn't completely go away. The only way to completely remove the pigment is with laser treatment.

I use skin brighteners to take care of that type of problem. The is on by Dove that you use at night and there is one by Avon called Anew, that I use during the day as it also provides sun screen. They both work to lessen discoloration in about 7 days.

try putting a homemade pack of potato juice, tomato juice and yoghurt. wash ur face with milk and then apply an ice cube. if all this is not possible, try the ice cube for at least 5 times a day and avoid sun.

There is a lotion you can buy, it's called acne free. It takes away acne marks. You can buy it at Wal-Mart. It really works.
