Depends on their sources.

If the politicians lie and the news media fail to hash out the BS from the facts, then both parties are lying b*stards.

If, however, you have someone like Dan Rather wanting a story to be true - at ALL costs - then it is a clear case of the news media lying.

A side note: ALL politicians lie. They can't help themselves.
The news media has no excuse when they lie...and what's more, truth and trust are the only commodity that they have to sell.
When that dwindles, they've lost their audience.

"It's the media's job to report the news, it's the gov's job to embelish it." V for Vendetta. I love that quote! However, besides news on the gov, the media has to keep stirring thing up, so they'll lie just to get the real truth out of whoever they're lying about.

I don't think it's necesaraly lieing... i think it's more like greatly stretching the truth to make the story even better. If you can read between the lines you'll figure out what the story's all about

Whatever it takes to get you to tune in. Most of the time they exaggerate thats for sure and they lie when needed. And how often do they ever reassure anyone. Never. Fear is what they sell.

WELL I THINK THERE IS A GRAIN OF TRUTH IN THE LIBERAL NEWS AS WELL AS THE CONSERVATIVE. I DON'T THINK THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NO SPIN. I HOWEVER LISTEN TO FOXNEWS MORE AS I AT LEAST HEAR THE SIDE THAT ISN'T ON ALL THE OTHER STATIONS.
