Right now the windows are stuck down on my '03 Cavalier LS Sport....I put them down and it made a loud noise. Then, I couldn't put them up...it made a weird noise like it was stuck or something and I can't put them up at all......What do you think it could be and how do you think I could fix it? I appreciate your help.

sounds like it went off its track. i would leave them the way they are so you don't break the window and i take it in to get it fixed.

It sounds like the gear on the motor or the regulator is wore out. I work for the body shop at a Chevy dealer and we have one here now doing the same thing.You can't replace the gear so whitch ever one it is the whole part has to be replaced.

The motor in them probably went out. You will most likely have to take it to a shop to get it fixed unless you know how to do it yourself.

sounds like the lifter itself youll have to have it replaced
