OK, granted "Synchronicity" is an excellent opener to the album, but until "Synchronicity II" comes on the album just blows, meaning pretty much the whole first half of the album is crap, yet that album is widely praised by critics/fans alike. Anyone else agree? Anyone who can give reasons as to why you like the first half of the album?

I do love the last half of the album, though.

Hopefully I can get some answers - I get a feeling there are nothing but Green Day and Fall Out Boy fans on the music questions here.....***gag***.

Yes I do agree with your observation regarding the Synchronicity album. If my memory serves me correct that album was a huge finacial success, however in my opinion Ghost in the Machine was superior from creative and musical point of view. I saw both concert tours, Sychronicity was a much larger production, Ghost was more of a rock concert.

Yeah, I would agree that the second half is certainly better than the first, although I generally disagree with the perception that it was their masterpiece album. I thought Regatta de Blanc and Ghost in the Machine were better records.
