Allan--not good for an infant/toddler.
Russell--nice, but like Allan it's more of an adult name
Caden--nice, just not my favorite
Keanu--just reminds me of the actor..not my favorite
Gage--too trendy
Jacob--I've always loved Jacob
Jack--Wonderful name and will grow well with him from infancy to adult years.
Barin--I like it but I like it spelled Barron better
Shawn--nah..too plain
Jagger--Awesome name..reminds me of Mick Jagger--but what's wrong with that?! :-)
Alec--nope
Alex--overused
Adam--nice and simple..good name

I say go with Alec or Alex for an intelligent boy. Adam or Jacob for a pious boy. Caden or Barin for a inner strength. Jagger for one who has individuality. Aide for a kind boy. Jack, Allan for a hard working boy. Shawn or Russell for a popular boy. It depends on what you are looking for. I believe the name you chose can have quite an effect on the boy. (No Keanu. Do you want him to be picked on)

I like Alex, its been around forever and never really got too popular and never dropped off the face of the earth for decades at a time. It's consistant, strong, simple yet magnificent.
As for Caden, you do realize that it is one of those names that at one point, not to long ago, was unique and not popular at all. Well, now everyone is naming their son Caden and still I hear, "how unique". Unfortunately those mommies will realize when their Caden is in elementary, just how unique it really is. Other than that, it is a truly an adorable name.

I like Jacob, Keanu, Caden, Shawn Jagger, and Alec. These are all nice names, but these are the ones that I like best.

I am a mother of 5 boys and I love the unusual names more than the normal ones. Out of the ones you listed I like Caden, Aiden, Gage,Barin, and Jagger. The other names I like are these: Quentin, Quincy,Skyler, Hunter, Colton, Preston, Logan, Spencer, there are so many cool and different names out there. I hope this helps you. My five sons names are: Colton, Nicholas,Logan, Preston, and Hunter.

They are all a bit trendy for me - none of them appeal, sorry.

Aiden and Jack are horribly over used. Gage sounds like a measuring tool. Keanu is just naff!! Naming your child after a Hollywood star is a bit tacky.

Alec and Alex are the same thing - shorterned forms of Alexander.

Alexander is a lovely name, but its better to give the child the proper full version rather than the cut down, nickname version. Name him Alexander and then if you like call him Alec or Alex for short.

I mean you wouldn't officially NAME your child Steve, Pete or Dave would you? You'd name then Steven, Peter or David and just shorten it to Steve Pete or Dave as a nickname.

So whats the deal with these short forms being given as proper names? Is it that people don't even KNOW they are short forms? I swear we'll have kids being called Bob and Al next!!!

I agree with the others I like Caden the best of the names you have chosen.

Or maybe Russell Caden.

Congratulations!

One of my girlfriends has a son named Gage he is 16 months old. I had only heard the name before in the movie Pet Cemetery. I personally like the name Jacob. If I ever have a boy that's is what I plan on naming him.

I like Caden & Jagger. They are both different. The rest of them are too generic for my personal taste.
