sounds to me that it is because your thyroid condition, and or the meds you are taking because of it. Go get your thyroid levels checked again... but just so you know, woman with a thyroid condition usually have abnormal menstrual cycles.

When is the Last time you had your thyroid checked? Does the Dr. want to check it or hormone levels? Stress can cause alot, and worrying about the abnormal periods doesn't help. Have you been on the birth control pills and just gone off to mess up you monthly routine of your period or are they usually irregular? If this is not unusual or may just be from stress, wait a few months. relax, if your periods don't return to normal go to a Gynecologist a good Doctor not a family Dr. an OB-GYN.

I can't tell you not to worry about it but you should try and put your mind at ease. Anything could mess with your period, including stress and the medication that you are on. Only a GYN can tell you if you will not be able to have kids again so start by making an appointment for a complete examination. Be firm with the doctors about what you feel. Don't allow them to brush you off because at the end of the day, only you truly know your body.

I would go get a good check-up before you try to conceive, especially if you take medications. Sometimes your Dr. will ask you to get off your medications while pregnant or trying to get pregnant.
You really do want to be in great heath when you get pregnant.
I would go ahead and get the blood work done and have peace of mind that everything is A-OK.
Happy baby making!

I think you should get the blood work done that your nurse recommended and express your concerns more thoroughly with your Dr. I don't think that you will find the answers to alleviate your fears on yahoo. Good Luck!!

You need to see a doctor. Could be a hormone problem, stress, or something more serious. Better see a doctor asap.

Get a T3 and T4 run. The undermedication could cause infertility.
