How would you define a successful individual, what type traits would that preson posses?

Traits I find that define successful individuals include understanding, consideration, generosity (of time, spirit, thought, mentorism, not just money), tolerance, fairness, responsibility to self and others, self respect and respect for others, the ability to be able to look past a situation, problem, roadblock and choose the solution that not only brings about the best outcome for all, but that doesn't fear going beyond or away from the solutions that sticking simply to black and white might result in...a better solution could be just beyond that restricting boundary. Ignoring the need to prove what you know by opening your mouth to dismiss the doubt that you know anything, realizing you can have opinions that are not necessarily nor expected to be the opinions of the masses around you.

The desire to work to get where you want to go in life and to avoid knocking others over or ruining them or their lives in the process. The intelligence to see your fellow man as a fellow human being stripped of color, religion, language, ability or sexual preference. The ability to recognize that were fate to be different, you could be the person you are intolerant to, and they you. Putting the shoe on the other foot on its own would prove success as an individual.

Have the drive to earn a path in life that brings happiness, safety, security and peace but to be willing to set all of these aside for a moment if someone needs your help and to always know that a person who is rich in money is not always rich in life. If a millionaire, living among the average as though you are average will garner you the gratitude from all.

When all things are in balance...a persons life will define itself, on its own merits...success doesn't have to be yelled out to all by the successful, it's the quieter less blusterous people who are in all areas of their lives...truly successful.
