Your bike - keep it inside your house, locking it up outside will be too risky for theft.

Your car- It's not good for a car to sit unused for so long. Maybe selling it and then putting the money into a high-interest savings account (i.e. a money market) and then purchasing a new one when you return.

I hope you have an enjoyable time abroad, you never said where you were going!

Store them in a garage! just take out the batteries and store the batteries inside the house but don't put them on concrete! Make sure the fuel tanks are fill and Cover the car and bike up and you are good to go! When you are ready to start them you probably need to charge the batteries up and fire them up! I have 4 cars that i store and I do that to them and i have never had a problem except for maybe needing to buy a new battery for them over ther years!!!

Take the plugs out and throw a little oil in the cylinders. Use some stabil in the gas, and jack up the rides so the tires don't rest on the ground.

For your car I would find a real reliable person to watch it for you and start it once in a while. For your bike I would think if car is ok then so will bike. But this is a hard one if reliability is an issue.

why don't you go through the 'moth balling' section of ur manual? you can protect engine and metal parts like that. if it is two years then better to dispose ur batteries and tyres in second hand market. two year old tyres may not be reliable however well you support the weight of the vehicle.
