I have had many pillowfights in my day, but I have never had any pillow spew out feathers, but every time I see a pillowfight on TV, it happens? Do the directors think it looks cool or something? I know it is a petty question, but I just wondered what the public thinks about it.

The same reason every shopping bag contains a stick of French Bread, ice cream doesn't melt, and the good guys always win, television only shows us the "perfect" world with 2.3 children, and pillowfights with feathers flying around...it just looks good. No one would tune in to watch a normal boring pillowfight where there weren't any feathers...

I have never liked feather pillows-- or the ones I did have I didn't like b/c the feather shafts always poke thru the cover and stab me in the face. And I don't get how this whole feather snowstorm happens, either. I mean, if the feathers are all falling out of the pillows, what do the characters sleep on after the fight is over???

I think someone decided it looked romantic and effected some happy illusion. I'd never ruin my good goose down pillows for something like that!
I always wonder who (in the TV show) cleans up the mess- they never show the mess the next day! It's gotta be worse than trying to clean pine needles after Christmas!

to make it more dramatic for a television audiance, the pillow cases are stiched in a way that the more they get pounded, the more feathers come out. they are also overstuff with feathers so more come out and make a more dramatic affect.
