Because in typing online CAPS LOCK MAKES IT LOOK LIKE YOUR YELLING(even if you're not). It is retarded to make a big deal out of it, But if you're so worried about it, turn off your caps lock. People need something to complain about, & it's just their way of bitching when they have nothing better to do.

How do you do that? You bypass the lock system on yahoo to keep you from typing in caps, WOW. Yea, I agree with you. People are cry babies.

Well no, you are not speaking, but in the typing world, typing with caps is considered like yelling. It is just harder to read and it annoyns some people.

considering we cannot hear the tone of your voice, it is understood by the public that CAPS means yelling. But hey if you want to keep the Caps on then do so, but be aware that the public will not change just to satisfy you.

When you type in all capitals, some people like moths to a flame, will think you are posting a banner with snackie cakes on sale. When they find no such goodie, they get mad.

It is harder to read.
Also, capitals serve a useful purpose in written language (sentence start, proper nouns, emphasis, etc). Using all caps is like talking without inflection or pragmatics.
Personally, I think it is more dumb than offensive.
