I know that my Japanese side of the family will eat anything under the sea , but we NEVER ate dogs or cats .

I used to date an Asian and his family ate dog. The meat turns black when it is cooked, kinda like when pork turns white.

Historically, some cultures in the Southeast part of Asia did condone the eating of dog and cat meat.

My brothers Canadian living in Korea. He just marries a nice Korean lady two years ago and they eat dog. I dont know how he does it but there they dont think of dogs as pets with personality but as a delecessy. I think its gross but he says its not that bad aside from being tough meat.

Well.. it is known tht MOST Asians (Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese) do eat dog.. that is why the conception is now universal that ALL Asians eat dog.. which of coure is not true

Yes but its very common in china Korea and not sure about japan, to go to the market and see skinned dogs for sale, ready to throw on the grill.

certain countries favor them. look into it. i do not want to point fingers, but i have seen it in film, print and such over and over. it is a way of life in certain countries in the far east areas.

Please don't say 'Asians' , only chinese eat dogs... and I think no one can blame someone for their culturel eating habits unless you are 'very' vegan. Most of this world eat animals anyway...
